Dropped by for a quick boba fix and was happily surprised by their green milk tea with pearls. I also tried their popcorn chicken but did not love those that much. They tasted a little drier than I am used to.

I was intrigued by how much food they offered though on the menu. Noticed people ordered quite a bit of the sides and even main entree items. Not used to seeing that at a boba place.

Interior seating is cozy but parking outside is plentiful.

Verde Tea Cafe is my favorite milk tea in the Bay Area. There used to be one in Cupertino which was a much more convenient location for me. I was in the East Bay for work so I definitely made a stop here.

Parking is super easy, this is in a shopping complex. Got there, there were only two customers already seated so I had no line. Unfortunately, they only accept cash under $10, which is so annoying because who carries cash these days. There should be an option where cash is allowed, but there is an additional fee. Thankfully I had just gotten cash earlier that day so I was able to get my one drink. I got the milk tea with pudding which is usually my go-to at Verde. Even though there aren't sweet levels at Verde, I think the sweetness is perfect. A lot of other milk tea shops, there normal sweet level is way too sweet so I usually ask for 10-30% sugar. The pudding adds a little sweetness too. The flavor of the milk tea is nothing like any other milk tea shop I've tried.

Verde Tea Cafe - Come back to the Cupertino/Sunnyvale area!

Camw here at 9:30 pm and saw the employees turning off the light with closed sign. What time do you close..?

It's been a couple months since I visited Verde Tea Cafe. Dined here once during my last visit to San Jose over the holidays. My family originally planned to eat ramen at Ajisen, but they were closed. So the five of us, starving and tired, decided to walk into Verde Tea Cafe for convenience (they're both located in the same plaza).

The cafe and split into two sections: A to-go, dessert and bubble tea ordering station on the left at the register and the dining area to the right.

    Service: Okay--no problems here.

Food: The menu offers a wide variety of foods. You'll see fried chicken, pasta, udon, steak, fish fillets, etc. Everything here is pretty cheap, but that also means the quality was not great either. Here are some that we ordered...

*Grilled Sirloin Steak with Noodles and Fried Egg ($9.99)
*Spam and Egg Rice Plate ($6.99)
    *Salty Fried Squid/Calamari ($3.99)
    *Salty Fried Chicken ($3.99)
    *Honeydew Milk Tea ($3.20)

None of what we tried were note-worthy. I wish I got more spam because I had a bunch of rice left over. The salty fried squid was fishy - no bueno. The grilled sirloin steak was decent, I guess. Even with empty stomachs, no one really liked what they ordered.

All meals are served with green or black tea. You can substitute the drink for $1 off. So I ended up getting the Honeydew Milk Tea. This tasted pretty average.

Overall, if you're looking for a cheap, one stop shop kind of restaurant, this is it. As for me, it was my first and most likely last time I'll be here.

A good place to grab a Thai Iced Tea while you wait for your spouse. There's a hair salon and another waxing place (Geranium Spa) that my spouse frequents and I appreciate a place to hang when I'm early in picking her up.
